<br>You have to understand the laptop and OS are just tools to obtain whatever information you need. Linux and Window$ are just a way of running applications to help you achieve your goal. Don't think of Linux as "Good" and "Windows" as bad as far as security is concerned. Its the mis-configured system and network in general that make it insecure. Not only that, windows keeps us security guys employed ; )
